Whether VEI installed your network or you are moving it across from another provider, we take it on, document it, and where it helps we redesign and improve it as we run it.

What does VEI manage under a managed services and SLA contract?
A VEI managed services contract is built around the customer’s estate, not a fixed package. Common scope includes:
- Managed networks. Ongoing management of the Wi-Fi, LAN and network infrastructure under your contract: monitoring, patching, configuration management, firmware lifecycle and access control administration. Network security is managed as part of the LAN.
- Managed connectivity and voice. Ongoing management of business internet, circuits, SIP and Microsoft Teams calling, with call quality monitoring and carrier coordination.
- Service levels and accountability. Defined response and resolution targets, escalation paths and a single accountable team, documented in the SLA before anything transitions.
- Multisite and international support. A single managed service across every location the customer runs, from a single Irish office to an international estate in over 100 countries.
- Service reporting and reviews. Regular service reports and review meetings against the agreed SLAs, so the customer sees performance, incidents and planned improvements in one place.
Customers take the full set or only the parts they need, and the scope flexes as the business changes.
What does onboarding a managed service with VEI involve?
Every managed services engagement runs through five standard phases:
- Discovery and estate audit. Existing infrastructure, contracts, support arrangements and pain points mapped. Output is a written current state report and a proposed service scope.
- Service design and SLA definition. Scope, response and resolution targets, escalation paths and reporting cadence agreed and documented before anything transitions.
- Transition and onboarding. Monitoring, access, documentation and runbooks put in place, with knowledge transfer from any incumbent provider managed to avoid service gaps.
- Steady state management. Round the clock monitoring, helpdesk and SLA bound incident response run from our NOC, with change management and proactive maintenance.
- Service review and continuous improvement. Regular service reviews against the SLAs, with capacity, security and lifecycle recommendations so the estate keeps pace with the business.

How does VEI handle multisite and international managed services?
Managing infrastructure across many sites and countries has three failure modes, and we run all of them from one accountable team to neutralise each one.
Standardised service design. Every site gets the same monitoring, naming convention, escalation logic and reporting format, so support, fault diagnosis and engineer hand offs work the same way at every location. We document the standard and hand it over as part of the contract.
Single point of accountability. One NOC, one service desk and one set of dashboards cover the whole estate, regardless of how many countries it spans, all against the agreed SLA. Tickets flow into the customer’s chosen ITSM platform or to a dedicated VEI inbox, with one team accountable end to end.
Coordinated change and local delivery. With customer operations supported in over 100 countries and more than 20,000 access points deployed across Europe, we coordinate change centrally while delivering hands on work locally, so a global standard is applied without losing on the ground response.
