In 2023, Virgin Media Ireland, part of Liberty Global, made a strategic decision to discontinue their hosted phone system service. With over 1 million customers nationwide, Virgin Media is Ireland’s largest digital cable television and telecommunications provider, offering broadband internet, digital TV, telephony, and mobile services. The transition required migrating approximately 120 business clients from their legacy hosted phone system to a new platform with minimal disruption and no increase in recurring costs for end users.
